Looking at the date of my last blog it does seem as though I have been away for a very long time.

Why is that, you ask?

I could write a long list of items & projects that I have been working on, but maybe it’s just because it’s easier not to write, than to write.

In truth, it’s probably more to do with the phrase at the top of my webpage:

“And by the way, you know, when you’re telling these little stories? Here’s a good idea – have a POINT.”

With every man, woman and child (and many, many cats) on the internet everyone has something to say. There’s nothing wrong with that, but there is a big difference between having something to say and having something useful to say.

The question I have asked myself is whether I have something useful to say. A POINT.

With that thought firmly in my mind, I have written absolutely nothing on this blog for a long time. Yes, I’ve been working on screenplays and dabbled with writing a novel or two, but none of that is useful on here.

In the last few months I have been working as an independent “Script reader” and have come to the conclusion that I might, just might, have something to say about it. I won’t go into too much detail here, I don’t want to step on the toes of my next blog, which, as I am sure you have just guessed is about “Script reading” or, to give it another name, “Screenplay Coverage.”

Look out for a series of blogs entitled “The Usual Suspects”, plus a page offering my services as a Script Reader – both coming very soon…
